We decided to purchased Carbon Credits to offset the carbon dioxide emissions from the Goldwing on our trip. What this means is that we purchased the emissions reductions from a renewable power provider (wind, solar, etc.). The money we spent goes to the people that invested in a renewable power system to help them offset their costs. As their clean power system generates electricity it offsets electricity generated by traditional fossil-fuel power systems. The amount of carbon dioxide our investment represents is roughly three times greater than the emissions from our motorcycle on our trip.Fun stuff for a green guy and gal!
